Accredited pan-European wind index
for the climatological assessments of the energy yield of wind
turbines
In order to offer planners and operators
the climatological assessment
of the monthly energy yield of their wind farms, EuroWind provides
a region-related indexing of the monthly wind conditions
for the whole European area. With the EuroWindindex
the monthly wind power production related to the long-term
average power generation can be assessed. The wind index
is computed with a horizontal resolution of about
10 kilometers.
The monthly EuroWindindex can be provided from now on, delivered to you (also retroactively) by
e-mail. Thereby, besides the German and/or the European map you will also get the wind index for individual areas or for precise geographic coordinates.
